What QuickBooks is good at
We would rather you picked the right tool than picked ours. Here is the honest case for theirs.
Where QuickBooks wins
- The deepest accounting feature set in the category, including inventory tracking and profitability by project.
- Payroll as a first-party add-on, which we deliberately do not offer.
- Every accountant in Canada already knows it. If yours insists, that is a real consideration.
- A very large app marketplace for niche integrations.

So which one should you pick?
Choose QuickBooks if…
- You carry inventory and need to track stock levels.
- You want payroll inside the same product.
- Your accountant will only work in QuickBooks and will not budge.
- You need a specific third-party integration from their marketplace.
Choose Internoodle if…
- You keep books for more than one company. A HoldCo and an OpCo means two QuickBooks subscriptions; with us it is two of the entities already included.
- You are paying separately for e-signature, file sharing, email marketing or a CRM on top of your accounting.
- You want your client data physically hosted in Canada.
- You would rather type “I paid John $500 for maintenance” than work out which account it belongs in.
A note on payroll: most businesses under ten staff have their accountant issue T4s and T4As at year end, so we have deliberately left payroll out rather than charge for something you do not need. We work alongside your existing payroll provider.
