Welcome to Internoodle

What Internoodle is, who it is for, and why the Invoice becoming your bookkeeping is the whole point.

What this covers

This is the short version of what Internoodle is and who it is for. If you are deciding whether to bother, or you have just signed up and want to know where everything lives, start here.

Internoodle is one place to run a small business: your Clients, your Tasks, your Campaigns, your documents, and your books. The accounting is free forever — including Invoices and Quotes. Everything else you can turn on when you need it.

The part worth understanding on day one is the connection between them — because that is the bit that saves you the most time, and it is the thing most software does not do.

What is inside

Your People

Clients, Prospects, Web Leads and Contacts, in one database. Every Task, Invoice, file and email attaches to the person it belongs to, so you can see somebody’s whole history on one screen.

Your Work

Tasks and Follow-Ups so nothing slips. To-do lists for the things that live in your head. Workflows that run a sequence of emails and reminders automatically once you have set them up.

Getting Paid

Send an Invoice, take a Payment, and record it — without typing the same numbers anywhere else. Invoices carry your logo and your business details.

Your Books

Includes a fully integrated General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliation, Receipt Scanning, GST and HST, Financial Statements and Year End. Not a summary of your accounting — the actual thing. Free, permanently.

Keeping in Touch

Email and Text Campaigns, social scheduling across ten channels, and lead capture from your website. Templates mean you write it once.

Secure Send Files

Send documents to a Client through a secure link instead of an email attachment. You can see when it was collected, and the file is not left sitting in somebody’s inbox. Tax returns, statements and contracts go across the way they should.

eSign Documents

Send a document for electronic signature and get it back signed, dated and filed against the Client record. No printing, no scanning, no posting. Engagement letters and authorisations come back the same day instead of the same fortnight.

Other Tools

Financial Plans, the built-in calculators, and video meeting invites.

The part that matters

Most small business software stops at the Invoice and tells you to export it somewhere else. That export is where the double entry, the spreadsheets and the year-end reconstruction come from.

Internoodle keeps going. Send an Invoice and the revenue is recorded. Take a Payment and the receivable clears. Snap a photo of a Receipt and it becomes an expense. At Year End you close the books and hand your Accountant their own login — no shoebox, no exporting, nothing to rebuild.

That is what the name means. Everything interconnected, so you are not the one holding it together.

What Internoodle is not

It is worth being straight about this, because it saves you time if it is the wrong fit.

It is not enterprise software. There is no implementation project, no consultant, and no six-week onboarding — which also means it is not built for a fifty-person finance department with complex approval chains.

It is not a payroll system. If you have employees on a regular payroll, you will want something dedicated for that alongside it.

It is not an inventory platform. If you are managing thousands of SKUs across warehouses, this is not the tool.

What it is built for is the business where one person — probably you — is doing the selling, the delivering, the invoicing and the books, and would like to spend less of the week on the last two.

Who it is for

Small Businesses, Sole Proprietors and Solopreneurs. Accountants and Bookkeepers. Realtors, Coaches, Contractors and Consultants. Anyone running the whole show themselves and doing the admin after hours because that is the only time there is.

It is built and supported in Canada, which matters if you file GST, HST or a T2.

What it costs

The accounting is free forever — including Invoices and Quotes. Not a trial, not a teaser. No credit card to sign up, and no demo call to sit through.

We make money when you add the paid modules, or when you ask us to prepare and file your taxes. That is the whole business model, and we would rather say it plainly than have you wonder what the catch is.

Where to start

Set up your account, add one Client, and send one Invoice. That takes about ten minutes and shows you the connection working end to end — which is the fastest way to understand whether this suits how you work.

Common questions

Is the accounting really free?

Yes, permanently. Financial Statements, General Ledger, Invoicing, Expenses, GST and HST, Bank Reconciliation and Year End are all included at no cost. We earn from the optional modules and from tax filing services.

Do I need to use all of it?

No. Most people start with accounting and invoicing, then switch on CRM, e-signatures or Campaigns when they need them. Menus you do not use can be hidden.

Can my Accountant get in?

Yes. Your Accountant can have their own login to your books, so at Year End there is nothing to package up and send.

Can I give an Assistant access?

Yes. You can add Sub Users — an Assistant, a Bookkeeper, an office Manager — each with their own login, and decide what each of them can see. An Assistant can be given the Clients, Tasks and Campaigns without the books. A Bookkeeper can be given the Accounting without your Campaigns.

Nobody shares a password, everybody sees only their part, and you can change or remove access at any time.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. You can export to Excel at any time. Your data is yours, and we would rather keep you by being useful than by making it hard to leave.

Is it suitable if I already use QuickBooks or Xero?

It can be. The difference is that the Client management and the books are the same system here, so an Invoice does not need exporting to become bookkeeping.

You can also use Internoodle as a stand-alone and choose which features you will use. Plenty of people start with the Clients, Invoices and Campaigns and leave their existing bookkeeping where it is, then move the books across at the start of a new year.

How long does setup take?

Minutes. Email and a password to create the account, then your Brand and what you do, which sets up your accounts with the right structure already in place.

If you would rather not do it alone, we offer free setup and free migration. Someone will help you bring your existing Client list across and get your accounts configured properly. There is no charge for it and no sales call attached.
